Place Value Fun

Recently our first and second graders were working on learning all about place value.  We did a fun partner activity to practice modeling and drawing different numbers to show the tens and ones.

The partners had to draw a card like this.

Then, on their recording sheets they modeled the number with blocks, then drew the blocks and wrote the values for the blocks.  They really worked hard and I think they have a better understanding of numbers and place value.  Great job students!
