Back From Break....Sort Of...

Well, this has been one crazy winter so far!  I can't remember ever having so much winter weather interfering with school!  I miss my kiddos and I miss my routine!  Here's to hoping that Old Man Winter is about done with us so that we might get back to uninterrupted learning time!  Here's what we have been up to:

*Myself, Mrs. Head, and Mrs. Shepherd spent three days helping with AIMSweb testing and Mrs. Cooper was a wonderful substitute in our room during that time.
*I was able to spend a few days in Columbus with a team of Wayne Trace teachers learning about technology at the Ohio Educational Technology Conference.  I have some fun things to share with our families and students!

Second grade students have been working on subtraction with regrouping.  It is very hard work, but they have really stuck with it.  I am so very proud of them!

Meanwhile, first grade has been busy learning about 3D solid figures and plane shapes in our geometry study.  They worked in teams to define specific attributes for the solid figures they had been working with.

Keep checking in because we have lots of fun projects going on right now.  I can't wait for you to see the symmetry project that first grade will be working on next!

Mrs. Berry :)
